Seattle Sounds Live is an online media platform,
created to empower musicians, performing artists and their local community
through a collective of archivists and production crews.
Our YouTube channel acts as a promotional content hub for artists and crews to share their work, while our Patreon serves as a community resource with more detailed documentation
of the Seattle music scene, curated and produced exclusively for engaged supporters.

MISSION

We started SSL to fill a void in the post-COVID music scene here in Seattle.
We feel that many local musicians, performers, venues and individual genre scenes in this city are undervalued, and often overlooked in favor of more marketable artists, more profitable locations, and โ€œsafe betโ€ built-in audiences. All of this, combined with an increasingly corporate bottom-line mindset in the modern music industry, leads to some of our cityโ€™s best artists feeling ignored and under-represented.

SSL aims to put control of performance art media back in the hands of the community and the creators, by providing funding to archival crews and video journalists directly through our Patreon donations. The content created exclusively for Patreon is also designed to help spread awareness of new local artists on the rise (GreenRoom Docs), as well as Seattle performance venues in need of support, from historic community fixtures to house-show venue spaces(Legends).
Our YouTube channel will always remain free to access, complete with full live sets.

Through consistent coverage via multi-cam video and multi-track audio recordings, we also aim to raise the standard for documentation in our area, and leverage our collective content to reach greater audiences outside the local scenes.
If you think youโ€™ve got what it takes to join our team, or youโ€™ve already got a production crew covering a unique space in Seattle music, hit us up!
Weโ€™d love to collaborate and pay you to show your work!
